Step 1 | choosing a picture
for beginners, i would suggest to take a black and white picture, its easy to trace and you see the tints of the colors.
after you chose the picture, you open a new layer and fill it with the paint bucket in white, make it transparent so you can trace the contour of the picture.
Step 2 | the coloring
to start the coloring, you need to add a new fill layer, just press the black and white circle, that looks kinda like ying and yang, and click new fill layer, now fill it with black. youll see the color is gone, click on the brush tool and choose the white color, youll notice the color is back again. now you can make around with the tint and the opacity of the brush. and remember, the more colors the better, and youll get a more realistic painting!
Step 3 | now the finishing
heres my result!
you can mess around with the brushes for the background, use youre imagination!!
Step 4 | and remember
dont be afraid to make mistakes, if you think youre result isnt good. try again, youll see the improvement coming!
heres is my first try
its says no 2, but actually its my first with a portrait.
